 Inscribed on front face at 0.38 from the bottom. 0.02, regular letters. Findspot. Third century B.C.

Commentary

Lüderitz (see ) rightly criticised Applebaum's view that this man was a Jew; this man might simply be broadly speaking of Semitic origin. Furthermore, Applebaum took this mention as an artist's signature of the inscription on the opposite side, which is a multiple epitaph with dates between 90 and 102 A.D. Lüderitz was only able to add a note where he mentioned from information by J.M. Reynolds, that both sides should be taken separately.

Due to the current place of the stele this side is always in the shadow and cannot be easily photographed.
