Grey marble rectangular block broken off at left ( 0.315 0.09 0.28 ).

 Inscribed in two lines on the face. 0.02; no serifs; symmetrical nu, slanting sigma, open omega. Findspot. Probably third century B.C.

Found before 1960 Cyrene: Sanctuary of Apollo.

Seen by D. Morelli in 1960 near the Fountain of Apollo.

Seen by Dobias-Lalou in 1982 inside the Strategeion, which was used as a storeroom of the Cyrene Museum.

Untel fils de Télésandros a consacré ce monument à Apollon au titre de la dîme.

So-and-so son of Telesandros dedicated this monument to Apollo as a tithe.

Il tale figlio di Telesandros ha dedicato questo monumento ad Apollo come decima.

Commentary

Several men named Telesandros are mentioned in inscriptions of the fourth and the third century. As we have here only the father's name, no prosopographical relation may be proposed.
