White marble panel, broken off at all sides but below ( 0.155 0.115 ); at back, a band of anathyrosis (wide 0.045).

 Inscribed on the face. 0.032; slight serifs. Findspot. Probably third century B.C.

Presumably before 1938 at Cyrene, while excavating the Fountain of Apollo.

Seen in 1979 by C. Dobias-Lalou in Shahat: Cyrene Museum.

Commentary

At line 1, the orientation of the serif of the third letter allows only for a Ξ or a Ω; so the most plausible reading of the segment seems to be either -αιω or -ατω.
