Small fragment from the lower right angle of a white marble base whith a plain moulding at bottom ( 0.10 0.065 0.035 ).

 Inscribed on the face ( 0.075 0.035 0.03 ), above the moulding. 0.015, whith slight serifs. Findspot. Possibly fourth to second century B.C.

Found before 1979 at Cyrene: exact findspot unrecorded.

Commentary

The space available at the end of the line allows only for the short name Ἄλεξις, which is very common in Cyrenaica. Being at the end of the text it is presumably a father's name at the genitive.
