Beschi dated the base in the 1st half of second century B.C., but the lettering seems older (so also Fraser-Matthews, 1987 Fraser, P.M., Matthews, E. (eds.), 1987, Lexicon of Greek Personal Names, I: The Aegean Islands, Cyprus, Cyrenaica, Oxford - see in bibliography , pp. 239, 252, following J.M. Reynolds' opinion).
The Thorns assumed that this base might come from the North Necropolis because the Italian archaeologists worked mainly in that sector before World War II.
