Layout

Scratched on two lines inscribed on the outer side.

Letters

0.007; calice-shaped upsilon with very short tail, slightly slanting strokes of sigma.

Place of Origin

Cyrene .

Date

End of fifth or beginning of fourth century B.C. (lettering)

Findspot

Found in 1993 by Bacchielli at Cyrene : in a sounding on the agora , amongst a refill layer near the Sanctuary of the Anax .
