Commentary

The name Πρῶρος is only attested in Cyrenaica. The father's name is known mainly from Cyrene (also from Thera, yet in Roman times), mainly in the dialectal form Θευκρίσιος, but sometimes also in the more common form Θεοκρίσιος, for which we have but one occurrence in Attica.
