Pratomedes son of Polymnis (dedicated) to Apollo.
Pratomedes figlio di Polymnis (ha dedicato) ad Apollo.
In the debated question of the function and date of the whole monument (fountain, exedra?), L. Gasperini ( Gasperini, 1976 Gasperini, L., 1976, L'epigrafe, in E. Di Filippo Balestrazzi, L. Gasperini, M. Balestrazzi, L'emiciclo di Pratomedes a Cirene: la testimonianza di un culto aniconico di tradizione dorica, in P. Romanelli, S. Stucchi (eds.), Cirene e la Grecia, Quaderni di Archeologia della Libya (QAL)8, 156-157 [= , 119-124] - see in bibliography ) gives epigraphical arguments for Oliverio's dating towards the end of IV B.C. So also Laronde, 1987 Laronde, A., 1987, Cyrène et la Libye hellénistique. Libykai historiai de l’époque républicaine au principat d’Auguste, Paris - see in bibliography , pp. 182-183 with bibliography.
