Found before 1935 at Cyrene pleiades; HGL : East Necropolis , by the Italian army, while digging for a shaft near Wadi Sneidi, i.e. in the North-Eastern part of the Necropolis.

The round hollow on top, normally, is not a good clue for a funerary use; neither is the shape of the stone without mouldings, although Beschi mentions it amongst his first group of funerary bases. However, Oliverio mentioned as provenance the 'South-Eastern Necropolis' (which is in fact the Eastern one). The question should remain open.
