Commentary

The findspot and context show clearly that the dedication was made to the Dioscuri. Marengo's suggestion to read the word 'tithe' is not impossible, although this sort of dedication is mainly known for Apollo. See however at IGCyr004200 a tithe for Demeter. But to judge from the photograph, there is a space before the two letters, which makes the restoration uncertain to C. Dobias-Lalou's mind.
