Commentary

Although no ceramological datation is possible for this very fragmentary sherd, the date proposed on behalf of the lettering fits well the archaeological context of the sounding 1959, which evidenced the building of the third retaining wall East of the agora (see Stucchi, 1965 , pp. 109-110).
