Although the very common name Θεύδωρος is a tantalazing guess, other names with the same second member are attested in Cyrenaica.
We cannot be quite sure that the panel was inscribed below the moulding, but this is reasonably predictable, as inscriptions with only a name without a father's name are rare. Moreover, similar panels surmounted with a moulding upon which a lintel is inscribed are known at Cyrene only for accounts of damiergoi and some of them do begin with a formula mentioning the eponymous priest at the nominative. If this one is such an item, we can only say that it cannot be joined to any fragmentary panel keeping part of the upper moulding that we know. However there are small fragments of accounts lacking the upper part and with similar depth. It would be hazardous to propose any joint without a new examination in the Cyrene Museum.
