Commentary

Both upper and lower edges of the stone are preserved, but we do not know how much is lost at right. We thus have either a list of four personal names followed by their respective fathers' names or only two persons mentioned with name and father's name on two successive lines. If the latter, it is possible that the first person was mentioned at the accusative as honored with an image by the second person, mentioned at the nominative. Any reconstruction should remain speculative.

The name at line 2 is illegible, but for an alpha.

At line 3, the upper bar of pi, both lower tips of alpha and the lower end of rho may be traced, hence one of the names beginning with Παρμεν-.

At line 4 only the right upper end of upsilon is visible. Those vestiges should belong either to Εὐμήδης or to Εὔμηλος or a related form.
