Commentary

Because of the bad condition of the stone, the differences between hands are only clear for ll. 1-4, but ll. 5-6 may well have also been cut each independantly. Nevertheless, this inscription is typologically similar to other lists of priests, whose names were chosen to be added successively as a form of honors on steles erected both in the sanctuary of Apollo and on the agora (see Marengo, 1996 ).

No convincing prosopographical relations may be established for the men mentioned here because we have only fathers' names.
