Commentary

The deity named Ἄναξ was hypothetically identified with Aristeus by Santucci. Dobias-Lalou's proposal to identify him with Castor ( Dobias-Lalou, 2006 , pp. 94-95; SEG , 56.2024) is now obsolete (see Dobias-Lalou, 2016 , p. 171).
