Commentary
This inscription is known only from Morelli's transcription, who published it without illustration.
The restoration at line 3 seems inescapable, allowing to calculate the missing part at left. Both restorations proposed for lines 1-2 by Morelli are too short. Τιμῶναξ is well attested at Cyrene in Hellenistic times, whereas Τίμων is not. However Τιμῶχος would also be a good guess. As none is long enough to fill the gap, there should have been another word, which is impossible to be sure of and which might end with the sigma surviving after the break of line 2.
