The father's name is a variant of Μύρτιλος, which is more common in the region both in reference to the plant which also produced the epithet of Apollo Myrtoos and with the name of a mythical hero (see Dobias-Lalou, 2010 Dobias-Lalou, C., 2010, Sur quelques noms nouveaux de Cyrénaïque, in R.W.V.
