Commentary

With this base, we now know the burial place of a man of high rank: commander of cavalry about 345 B.C. (IGCyr084000, l. 13), he is mentioned both as ephoros and nomothetes in the diagramma of Ptolemy in 320 (IGCyr010800, ll. 83 and 86). He may have died at the latest about 300 B.C., but probably nearer to 320 B.C.
