The triakatioi are at Cyrene soldiers in formation, i.e. ephebes. For the vocabulary of the officers, see Dobias-Lalou, 2000 Dobias-Lalou, C., 2000, Le dialecte des inscriptions grecques de Cyrène, Karthago25, Paris - see in bibliography .
At l. 3, the missing nu in the name Anaxandros (and probably also the hypercorrect final nu in the genitive of Menandros at l. 5) give a clue for an early slackening of the implosive nasal and a concomitant nasalization of the preceding vowel, a phenomenon for which see Dobias-Lalou, 2000 Dobias-Lalou, C., 2000, Le dialecte des inscriptions grecques de Cyrène, Karthago25, Paris - see in bibliography , p. 66.
